Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult season, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - led to him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with long-time mentor Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive win over opponent Moutet.
It is his maiden title after the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt from that period of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my children simultaneously, so to get a title is particularly special," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, comprising in that event earlier this year.
The player's retrieving play style and frequent reactions on the tennis court had led observers to doubt if his ability to compete at the top level was over.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped break points in the second set before the challenger, striving for his maiden tour championship, took control to force a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 early-game break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
